E6600 on a 680i

I am fairly new to computer building and I have an old E6600 Core 2 Duo and an Nvidia 680i mobo. Just wondering if anyone has suggestions on overclocking this cpu. I have heard they are stable at 4, but I'm looking to take it from 2.4 to maybe 3.2. If anyone has config info and insight on this setup, i'd greatly appreciate that. Thanks in advance.

CONFIG:

MOBO - XFX MB-N680-ILT9 NVIDIA nForce 680i LT

OS - Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit

RAM - 4GB Crucial DDR2 667MHz (4 x 1GB sticks)

CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4MHz w/ Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro

GPU - BFG Tech GeForce 9800GT 512MB

PSU - BFG Tech LS-550 550W

HD - Maxtor STM3200 (7200RPM/200GB/8MB)

HD #2 - WD 1600AAJ (7200RPM/160GB/8MB)

DRIVE - TSST TS-H653A HH SATA 16X DVD+/-RW

Yeah....overclocking is not quite plug-and-play yet. It definitely takes a little effort on the part of the user to learn and understand, at least if you want anything significant. But if you're willing to invest a little time, it's well worth it IMO

What kind of results am I to expect if all I change is the clock speed?... from 2.4 to 3.2

It may or may not boot, and it most likely will crash on a regular basis.
