Just because it's the easiest way doesn't mean it is the best way. Personally, I'd create a bootable flash drive & use a DOS based flash tool. It is also a very good idea to have a PCI video card on hand in case things go wrong. Trying to do a blind flash is a real pita - and probably near impossible without a floppy.
I use a flash drive. You can set it up to be a to be the first boot device in the asus bios.

If you use RBE, you might have to use one of the older versions. The last time I messed with my 3870's I had to use, I think, version 1.13. 1.15 wouldn't see it. But they might have fixed it since they are on 1.22 now.
