just a wuick question......does the Epox 8k3a kt333 no plus or anything just the regular...........does it run regular old pc2100 ddr with 266mhz ram clock? I see the 333 ddr and i was just curious.

In theory yes, you can run 2100. The problem is the bios is not fully worked out yet on this board and many people are having memory problems. The asynch mode does not work very well, when you set your FSB to ANYTHING between 134 -165, the board makes the ram run at 166 + FSB over 133. So, a measly 140 FSB would Actually be 166 + 7 = 173! Good ram is suggested at this time. Some people don't seem to have this problem, most do however. There is a new bios out for the board that supposedly fixes this asynch mode, but Epox says no one should intall it. Go figure.

figures....maybe ill just get the 8kha+ and leave my crucial where it is...i don't wanna have to buy new ram......pc2100 is fast enought...if im gonna upgrade i gonna go with more....not faster.

I just got my 8k3a+ in today and I was having that RAM problem. I installed the new BIOS and went straight to 150 FSB no problems. :)

The temperature shows as 90 degrees in MBM and that Epox sftware tho,,,,,,???

i guess the only way to test the temp accurately is to use ur own probe and do it yourself. Thats what i have heard is the best way anyway. Altho if ur using a metal probe u gotta be careful on what u touch on the mobo or the chip. Don't wanna fry anything.......i know this from experience....not using a metal probe tho.

use 8KHI2116 or later bios, all the bugs are worked out by then
youll like it, trust me.
