Im sic of my 820d taking my Watercooler to the boiling point (not joking). So I
waited in line @ frys on friday morning for more that 2 hours to get the 3800 x2 and ecs nforce4 board for $279. I figured if the board blew I would sell it on ebay and get a better one. To my surprise this board has quite a few OC'ing options. Only been playing w/ it for a few hours but passed double prime all last night @ 2.6ghz only 1.4v. All my benches have it about the same performance as my 820d @ 3.75 ghz but I dont have to worry about it melting through my mobo. I got it stable @ 2.7 but it took 1.525v and was getting pretty hot.
My only problem is that I cant get sisandra 10.69 to startup on this and none of the older versions will run an arithmatic test (bot oced settings and stock settings) is their some kind of trick w/ sandra and x2s??
Maybe the opteron isnt that much better than the newer x2s.....
