Hey all, I cut out three 120mm holes in the side of my case for some fans. Due to my inexpertness, the holes are rather shotty, and I'm too lazy to sand/file then down perfect. Anyhoo, I've seen some people that have material around the holes to cover up jagged edges and make it look nice and even I was wondering what you used. I don't need ducts, and i've tried a few things but have had no luck.

If anyone can gimme some ideas and where to get materials I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks a lot

Ok so basically this is the side of my case, now the blue would be the fan hole, but the outer rim of the blue is covered with something like the black stuff to hide the jagged edge and make it look nice/even

I Need that black thing, WHAT CAN I USE??

Go to an auto parts store and get some door edge molding. Make sure it is fairly bendable. I have started using it on all my fan holes, as it also lowers vibration noise.

depending on how "bad" you did you could get a laser cut fan grill to put over the hole. They usualy have a bit of metal that will rest over the edge that you cut, hiding your work with laser-cut work.

An other thing you could do, is mount the fans outside the caes, that what I did for my 120mm ont top...and it looks fine.

Get some door edge molding from Autozone or some other auto parts store. I've even seen it at Wal-Mart. Make sure it's the press-on variety and not the stick-on kind. The press-on variety will have a C-shaped cross section.
