Heat can/will kill a cpu...but what is the relationship between core volts and temps on the longevity of a cpu?

My temps at idle/load are 35c/50c. I have a good o/c as it is, but if I up the voltage and still keep the load temps in the 50's in order to get a higher o/c...how will that affect the life of the cpu?

I personaly would not ever let my chip load into the 50s with a higher voltage. Mine loads 48*C with 1.9vcore. My emergency shutdown temp is 52*C

What cooler do you have on your CPU?

When I said 'load', I was refering to my temps when running Prime95....hope I didn't use the wrong term...

My Vcore is presently 1.6v.,....stock is 1.4v.

I have Arctic Cooler Freezer 64 Pro...(see my sig)

Skeith....you have 1.9vcore listed for your 'load' vcore...can you please clarify for me....what is the stock vcore for your cpu...1.9v seems really high...unless that chip has a high stock voltage?

Freakdiablo....yea, surely in 5-6 years I will have moved on from s754...Ha!!
