Eheim 1250 Question

Well im looking at the Eheim 1250 due to its extreme reliability and low to none matienence. i have to have my barbs 1/2 b/c im using 3/8ths tubing and it will easily stretch over the 1/2 barbs. soo...

I notice on the suction side, the barb is 3/4, how do u take this down to 1/2?

I have a 1250 and 3/8" silicon tubing and I managed to just simply stretch it over that suction side barb.

Best thing to do is either attach a rreservoir on the intake, or do a larger size hose between the res and the intake. There is a huge loss of flow by restricting the intake.

I recommend using boiled water. Universal solution

Xeese is totally correct. some guy posted a picture of restricting the flow of an eheim with 1/2" intake and then put the standard intake on and you could see a huge difference. i can't find the link though ;/
