which eheim pump is good for water cooling

I got the Eheim 1250 Hobby Pump for the 315gph that it will pump out. I love it so far and it really does an outstanding job of pumping my coolant thru my tubes. I don't think I'll ever need another pump unless I go over 5 feet of tubing.

I have the same pump working on my Danger Den cooling system now for over two months, and it is just doing fine. In fact its excellent, could not ask for a better pump

I got the 1250 from PetWarehouse. I figured it wasn't very much more than the next one down but it's output was quite a bit more. I figured better to have excess capability than be underpowered.

I haven't put my system together yet, I'm waiting on the loan of a milling machine so I can make my waterblock, but I have the radiator - it is a 12 pass and another reason for selecting the Eheim 1250.

It's somewhere around 6"x4". ROUGHLY. I doubt seriously that it would fit in a small one unless per say, you stand it up on end and have a tall instead of wide reservoir.

Why dont you use an inline pump without a reservoir. That's what I do. I only have a pump, waterblock and radiator. Temps are actually a bit cooler for me. Also your temps will stabilize alot faster and remain more consistant. And this is with a peltier as well.

all the pet stores around here stopped sellin eheim pumps because of their price, but went with the maxi-jet 1200 its 265gpa with a 69' lift rate.. looks like a nic pump and small..
