I saw on the dtek customs site these little Eheim submersibles. Anyone know how good they are compared to the inline external pumps or if they are the pumps included in the dtek reservoirs? Like a C-1000 to a 1250?

BUMP

I have to admit, these pumps are more in line with the price of other pumps on the market. Hopefully they have the Eheim quality still. Anyone heard of these or used them?

I was asking about these the other day!!!

I've heard from the owner of an OC shop in the UK that they work very, very well.

Apparently, the inlet is far less restricted on the submersibles and the rotor inside has been re-designed.

He said that, in terms of performance, the Compact 1000 can easily be compared to the 1250.

That said, I'm going for a 1250!!! (didn't want a huge res in my case!)

Hope that helps

I was looking at those Innovatek reservoirs that attach to the Eheim pumps. Would one of those fit on a 1250? The flow rate would be even higher but I THINK that the inlets are the same size? Anyone know for sure?

I just looked on their website too. That's too bad. I suppose one of the submersibles combined with a small waterproof box from the hardware store could make a nice little pump/res system. Right now my PVC res and 1048 takes up nearly the whole length of my case!

my problem too!!

I haven't got my kit yet, but I'm planning it at the moment.

I've got a Lian-Li PC65 mid-tower to fit all of the kit into!

I've already had to give up on a res.

The only query I have is over the size of the pumps. On the Eheim site, the measurements look huge! I take it they give measurements to the top of the outlet pipe thing and to the tip of the inlet pipe thing?

If not, the 1250 is about as big as your average house brick!!!

Ive seen these in person, but have not tested an yet. From the looks of them they look like they are really good quality plus they are EFFIN SMALL as hell!

I think these are the best submerable pump you can get if your looking to go that route.

well, the 1048 is good size. that 1250 is slightly larger from their specs. You should be able to fit it in your case. Just use some creative thinking if you want a res. Those measurements seem correct from the inlet to end and outlet to bottom of the pump.
