1. I couldn't get the EMIII to start the folding instantly whenver it starts ... I put a check on the "launch F@H on startup", but it wouldn't start the F@H even after I reboot .. and restarted the program over and over again.

Tried to change the name of the beta console to FAH3Console.exe (although it really is the beta 4) ... useless ..

I set up everything according the EMIII installation guide, and it detects everything just fine .. it just won't fold automatically whenever it starts ..

2. the screen is messed up .. take a look at the attached screenshot .. the texts are all messed up ... arggh .. it's frustrating

Did you check the box next to the listing of your F@H file on the options page?
EMIII won't start F@H without it checked.

yes, it is checked :(

i will try downgrading to 3.24 console to see if that version works with the 2.4.2 EMIII i'm having problem with :(

W00t!! I found what the problem is .. turns out Stanford beta file is named as Fahxxxx.exe.exe (2 exes), and after I renamed it to FAH3console.exe (only 1 exe), it now works!! .. hurray!!!

now the text problem is annoying :( .. does it have anything to do with my windows custom text size??

Yes. The same thing happened to me at one time, but I couldnt remember what caused it. It is probably your custom text size.
