I have an ENPC KL21 motherboard. Anyone familiar with it, please help me out. I bought it coz' I thought the board came in with 440BX chipsets. Beeeeeeee!!! Wrong. So I tried a Celeron 600. Won't go. why? It hangs or suddenly it restarts on its own. Then I checked out bios. The cpu setting says it can only go up to 83mhz bus with up to x 6 factor. Anybody has an idea of what celeron Speed that I should buy to keep it a hit for the buck?

Please help me out. Anyone...pleeeeease.

I dont know it but by the sounds its an LX board, so the most you can put in it is a 533(not A) cause they dont support Cu CPUS(cel2 and p3).

If I were you, and needed to use that board I'd go buy a Cel1 (like a 366 or 433) and overclock it to 83mhz.

Thats not a guarantee though :)

Thanks for the response.
Yep, you are right, it is an Intel 440LX Chipset. How's about a celeron 466, will that do. Somebody's sellin me one. Will this be good? I need an advice before buying...

Anyway thanks a lot again.

I personally wouldn't do it.

You have zero room for upgradebility, you'll already be behind by 500mhz+ from the other 'low-end' machines. You probably won't be able to overclock it to 83mhz. It just doesn't seem logical because all new parts are so cheap(read:duron).

Of course, if your going to use it as a server or something then by all means... :)

Good Luck
