i've heard the 1/5 doesnt work with the epox raid version... is this true???

do i need to get ddr ram? i have 4 sticks of mushkin 128 rev2....

epox vs iwill which one??? your opinions needed... cuz i cant decide....

anyone wanna trade? 2 128 sticks for 1 256 stick?

That was true for about a week, now the 1/5 PCI divisor is available for the raid version as well.

I vote for the 8K7A. Never used the IWill but I sure do love the Epox. Yes, you need DDR RAM. Can't use SDRAM in the 8K7A.

Epox 8k7a

You get 1/5 PCI.
You get 2.25V with no mod.
People are getting nuts FSB speeds out of it, 190+ no PLL's
All my past Epox boards have been rock solid, heard there is no change here.

seems like a simple choice to me!

i ordered the iwill... i have 3 extra sticks of 128 mb rev 2... so might as well use them huh???

i think i would have gotten the epox, but i have alot of sdram....

thanks for the input though....

you won't be dissapointed as the IWILL is the best KT133A mobo out there and probably better for overclocking. The Epox is a darn good board though.

Gather this.

Did you miss the bus when SDRAM superceded EDO ?

Don't miss the bus now DDR SDRAM has superceded SDR SDRAM.

Remember that DDR is very very overclockable. Within minutes on a good DDR boards you can push a standard stick of Crucial PC2100 to 160Mhz FSB.

Yeah, DDR may be the standard now, but if you got a decently gluttonus amount of PC133 sitting around, you might as well use it. (I define decently gluttonus as anything more than 256 MB). Otherwise DDR is the way to go on a new MB.

yea... i have 1 stick of 128 in me pIII 700, and 2 sticks sitting in a drawr.... and my cousin is sending my other stick back to me... cuz he has no use for it...

i bought each stick at about $200 prolly last year... sucks huh?
