I know im posting in the wrong forum but no one is answering my questions in the motherboard section.. anyways what is the difference between the Epox EP-8KDA3J and the EP-8KDA3+. Is it anymore different like the + oc's better and is more stable etc. etc. ?

no, not at all.
same chipset, same board, just one being stripped down.

Difference I believe were SATA 8 compared to 4, and Power Pack. (basically not worth extra 50 bux).

so i can just get the non + and get the same performance but just no SATA?? i wasn't going to use SATA anyway

no they both have sata, the ability to have 2 onboard, but then the + has a a little helper that adds 4 more

ah ok thanks for all the help, im gonna go with the non plus since everyone says the + is the best mobo out there for A64's..

Just FYI.

From what I read, there is no IEEE 1394 (firewire) in EPoX 8KDA3+/8KDA3J (250 GB 754), to get such feature, one need to add via PCI card (not desirable at all for money and bandwidth).

This is the main reason I do not consider the EPOX 8KDA3+ since I need IEEE 1394 connection for high bandwidth video input.

A64 Nforce3 motherboards (754, 939)

Many people rank the two epox 250 GB boards high in their shopping list and they have been getting good reviews.
