I can't install any USB object to my computer. Everytime i stick a usb device in it says detecting new hardware then it clicks off real fast not letting me choose a driver. Then if I go into the control panel and try to click on usb port device it just always says unknown device and i cannot change the driver. I went into the bios and enable all usb settings. Any suggestions ???

The first thing that goes in my system when I put my FSB too high are USB devices (I have a MS Intellimouse Explorer). I'm not sure if it is the USB controller or the device itself, but it's a thought. Second, I had a person come to the place I work with a computer with the exact same problem, he had installed a USB printer or something without following directions, and now every USB device he plugged in was detected as the same thing.

My USB ports are working fine on my 8K7A at 160fsb.
Did u install VIA's USB filter?

Yup I uninstalled the usb driver than reinstalled them fromt he epox cd. Any usb device I plug in just comes up as Unknown. I am trying to install a IBM usb optical mouse. I went to work and it installed fine on windows 2000. It detect as soon as I pluged it in as a usb mouse. Unlike my 98 system at home. I think im going to try the 2 extra usb ports that came with the mother board.. .........
