I don't know it just doesnt work. I type "http://192.168.0.1/".

I have:

ADSL Aztech Modem
D-Link DI-704P REV B
CAT5E Straight

I know i connected everything correctly. i connected a straight CAT5E to my modem and my Router.

I connected my router to my network card with a CAT5E. I know my cables work and my network card is installed correctly.

The configuration web browser just doesnt appear.

I'm not too sure what you are asking for. What does 192.168.0.1 refer to? Are you trying to access your router?

If so, a couple of ideas come to mind. First, your machine is not set up properly. If you have Win ME or above, use the network wizard.

If you set it up manually, make sure that your machine is not set to 192.168.0.1. In fact, just set it up for a DHCP assigned address. Your D-Link should assign the address then.

The other thought is that I have seen some modem/router setups that require a cross over cable.

If I have not addressed your question, please try to rephrase it and we'll see what we can do.

Thanx to don256us i have my router working along with my ADSL. My IP address was not on auto. But there is still something wrong. My internet connection disconnects. Im sure its due to the Router. It disconnects after a minute. The LED showing that the Router is working properly is off and sometimes the LED showing that there is an internet connection goes off. PLS help. I doubt its my ISP cos right now im using only one computer to access the net.
