Its news to me. I thought only Asus boards reported wrong temps. Oh well. And I just ordered it last night. Just another reason to mod in a temp probe.

There is a bios update on the epox.com page that shows it has been "solved" by a bios update.

Don't know if it is true.

Cheers,

When I was testing the limits of my AGOIA 1700 in the 8K3A+, I had the Vcore at 2.050 and was using a thermalright AX-7 with a 60 CFM Y.S. Tech fan.

MBM5 was showing temps at 65 degrees idle, and same with the BIOS.

Now with the same config @ 1.775 Vcore, it is showing full load temps at about 53 to 54 degrees. @ 1766 MHz

The way that I look at it is that each mobo reports different temps. You just have to get used to the limits of each mobos readings, that's all.

For example on my Asus, I never let it go past 55 degrees, and on my 8KHA+ it would reboot at like 50-51 degrees, so I tried keeping it at like 46-48 degrees.

The 8K3A+ is not a mobo that can be used properly right out of the box. You really have to get used to it and find it's sweet spots. Yes we all know how to use computers, but this one in particular takes a bit more "Learning" than most other mobos.

I guarantee that once you're familiar with it, you will love it to death. I've had it for a few days so far, and I like it better than my 8KHA+ which used to be my favorite mobo by FAR!

However I have not had it long enough to back up that comment. All I know is so far, so good.

Don't forget that this is a very new mobo and there are many BIOS updates yet to come. Hopefully one with an unofficial 1/6 divider to get rid of the 200+ FSB AGP issue.

I really want to hit 250 FSB.
