Thats weird, how is this a FTW model when it has reference clockspeeds?

It's a FTW DT.

Same PCB and power phases as a FTW, but it won't pass the full EVGA testing at FTW speeds.

Basically, it isn't binned like the normal FTW.
You could very well get a better piece of silicon than a normal FTW, but you aren't guaranteed to.
