I am having a problem with explorer.exe crashing when I search some directories. I think something may be wrong with explorer so could someone here with Windows 2000 SP4 upload their explorer.exe file so I can check it against mine? I would greatly appreciate it.

Is this with the search tool or when just browsing through them? Explorer is darn poor at dealing with video previews.

I downloaded Greenmaji's explorer.exe and it was an identical size but I went ahead and replaced it with my explorer.exe. I did a search through my projects directory for *.ncb which I've tried a few times before and crashed it but this time it worked. Looked like it fixed even though it was the same (according to size anyway. Now that I think about it, I should have checked the md5 sum of both of them to see if they were the same)

If the crashing happens again I'll post back here.

Thanks, Greenmaji and aftermath.
