Hey, I have started work on a team 32 recruitment video. I have an early stages version ready (for opinions and suggestions), if anyone could host a 3MB avi, that would be great.

Thanks
Axle

Tells what FAH is and what happens when proteins misfold. Tries to give a sense of community using a screen shot of the forums. Shows the rainbow stats page, and then displays "download FAH from ...", enter team 32, Join the Fold.

Very cool. It needs some nice background music, but for its early stages it looks real nice.

i agree, picking music would be hard, narration would be good and easier. very very well done. i think that's a first, and by a member of team 32 :D who knows maybe stanford will even put it up.

This is what I see

Cue music at opening shot
(mellow non aggresive music)
Music volume goes down as voice asks first ?
Different voice answers ?
(kind of an interview type thing)
The forum appears on screen
Turn music back up
(alittle more upbeat music but still not aggresive
plays till end of clip)

It's not a first for a video. A FAH video was actually done a long time ago by another team. We were going to put together a very moving video like a year and a half ago but the forum seemed to loose interest in helping. I am going to add music, have not really decided what type, I am thinking a mix. I think I am also going to have one words like "Gromacs", "Tinker", and "Double Gromacs" flash on the screen (one frame each) at some point. Kinda as a way to make the user go "What was that?".

I dunno if you've seen either one of these but thought I would put them up regardless...

For some reason this one doesn't work for me, it used to though. Anybody else have luck with it?

This one still works...

Axlecrusher, I don't know if you've seen either one of these but just thought it would might be helpful to brainstorm after seeing these. Good start on your video though. My only suggestion would be to find some effective music. I think some effective music can really make or break a .swf/.avi video. Good luck I hope to see what you come up with once your finished.
