Well I went into my BIOS and changed my NF7-S and Mobile 2600+ to 200*12. It like restarted a few times, got ****y, then it said it reset the BIOS automatically. OK, the stock ABIT bios doesn't like 200fsb, I need a new one. So I try 175*14 and she boots. Everything is looking OK, and the CPU is idleing about 40*C. I decide that I should start prime and see what happens... and in 1 min it fails. Now I haven't overclocked before... so what could be the problem? I mean the OC is only 2.45ghz, and the FSB isn't even at 200! Here is my system...

Could it be that I have my voltages too low? I am thinking maybe... my CPU is 1.55v (I meant to set 1.65v) and my memory is at 2.7v.

Thx :)

Try gradually OCing your CPU. Smaller jumps will help you determine what is good and what is not. Also, try going either multi OCing, or FSB9recommended) OCing. At first you wanna keeps things simple, so when something doesnt work, you will know what to look at. If you try OCing 2 or more things(or multi AND FSB at the sametime) it will be harder to determine what went wrong.

BTW, the that a rev 2 NF7-S? If it is, those handle 200 and higher FSB, but you may have to do the L12 mod to your CPU to get it to default to 333, if it doesnt already. Check the Abit Mobo section, I am sure you will find help there.

Thanks. I know i'm supposed to make small jumps but I was anxious :D
Now I am at core=1.75v and memory=2.8v and at 200*12 for a nice 2.6ghz, idle around 43*C load about 48*C, and I went through prime for 4min then another rounding error :p

Humm, I don't think I want to play with the AGP voltage... but what about the chipset voltage? I mean if your CPU is unstable, you can try to raise the core. If the memory is unstable you can try to raise it's voltage. chipset? Is there any reason to change it's voltage?
