I have a low rpm(around 900-1100) blue LED 120mm fan in the front of my case, I have two connecetors on my enermax system monitor, but sadly the alarm goes of every 5 seconds for the low rpm fan b/c its goes under 1000rpm. I can't set the alarm lower either, Can I plug it into the 3-pin connector (j_sys) on the mobo and be good to go? I have heard some things aobut it being bad for your mobo to have fans plugged into the mobo connectors, some people say it can fry your mobo, I don't want to have this happen, but I have no connectors for the fan left on my PS, so I was just wondering if this low-RPM fan would be ok plugged into the mobo? thanks a bunch!!

How many amps does the fan draw? Should be written on the center hub. That can help us tell you whether it is dangerous to run off the mobo itself.

it doesn't say, all it says is Antec. one side is clear, the other says Antec.... It is a Low-RPM fan though, i know that, it runs between 900-1100 rpm... What do yah think?

Frying your MOBO would be a worse case scenario. Usually plugging a high amperage fan to the fan header will kill the header only. But then again, who wants to take that risk.
Plug the fan into a molex adapter (4 pin to 3 pin) and plug the adapter to an empty 4 pin (molex) connector.
I don’t use the MOBO fan headers. All of my fans go to a controller.
Good luck!
