I just put 2 120mm (panaflow 12M's) fans in my case. my motherboard is supposed to handle 6 watts so i pluged them in there. i can only see 2 fans in motherboard monitor. one is the cpu at 4000 rpm and one at 2000 ish rpm. my other fan is showing 0. why? its cleatly spinning!

i think i will eventually change these to 4 pin because i noticed that my 12V line drops to 11.77V ocasionally. is that too low?? if i can find room i also have an extra PSU i can put in.

as long as its not your site that your advertising and it doesnt have porn its pretty much ok.

I had the plug on wrong but the fan was working??? But even after turning it around i still don't see the rpm in motherboard monitor. Whats wrong?

btw, the only way i see to put 2 PSU in my case is if i put them vertically and it will be a very tight fit if it will fit at all :-(

wait... what should pin 1 be? it looks like on the other two fans its the black wire and thats how i plugged in the 3rd (acording to manual)since they are working, but i thought pin 1 was usually the "hot" wire or +12V. the fan works both ways so i am confused now. can someone help.. why cant i see rpms for fan3?!

I turned my other fan connector around and it still worked but no rpm monitoring. switched it back and and its ok. looks like black is pin1. there is no rpm monitoring either way with fan3.

It doesn't work in the bios either. i see my cpu fan, but nothing for the other fan. there are only 2 listed in the bios? is it something wrong with the fan, motherboard or MBM?

The 2 new fans i put in are identical, 2 panaflow 12m's. i get rpm monitoring on one but not the other.

I also have 3 fans in my case, 1 out of the p/s and 2 blowing air inside the case from the side panel, my motherboard can have 3 fans plugged into it but only 2 can be monitored. Maybe you have the same kinda of setup for fan monitoring...

Dual PSU it. Run your mobo off one, and everything else off the other.

How can you start both PSUs if only one of them is connected to the Mobo ? I don't really see how you could power it up if it doesn't have any power switch or whatever, so how can both run and only one be connected to the Mobo ?

Thanks

there have been many post on this topic. search the forum and you sould find lots of info and links to how tos. but basically you connect the green (power_ok) wire to ground adn it will turn on with the switch in the back. there are other methods like using a relay

hope this helps and i hope i got that right
