i have a duron 700mhz with the fan that was shipped with it i also have a Gigabyte GA-7ixe4 mobo. The fans Rpms arent being read by the gigabyte utility or bios, it says my fan has failed, but the fan is visibly working i dont understand could it be caused because i overclocked the 700 to 735? please help!

If the fan is working, then the lead for the RPM on the fan is probably not connected internally inside the fan, or the fan is not equipped with a sensor even though the wire is present, or the motherboard is messed, or there is a break in the wire beneath the insulation. Lots of variables for a small problem. Try plugging the fan into another fan header on the board to see if you get a reading, and if not and it still bothers you, get another fan.
