K, I have the visiontek xtasy ti4600. Unfortunately, the fan died and visiontek went into bankruptcy, and I've heard them telling other customers that they're out of stock, and they're still out of stock 2 months after. I currently have a cooljag just sitting in a box unused and never has been used. I'm pretty sure the cooljag would work as I've been told this before, right?

What kind of adhesive would I need that's non-conductive and wont ruin my card if it goes onto the circuit board on accident. How do I remove the HS from the ti4600 without pulling off the gpu? Thanks.

Put the card in a baggie and in the freezer for a couple of hours. Then take it out and gently pop the fan off. I ordered a replacement for my TI500 a couple of months back from SVC and had no problems at all. I removed the old fan by the method referred above. The new fan had little push pins that lined up with existing hole in the card.
Good luck!

Hey, do you twist it or just pull it???
I want to do this myself and would love to know prior to having to buy a new card because I wrecked the thing.

Thats a cool trick mygreenjeans, it seems so simple but I never would have thought of doing that! I've been thinking about getting a ti4200 to overclock and was wondering how I was going to get the factory sink off to put a better one on.

With my Ti4200, all I have to do to get it off, is pop the clips, and twist back and forth to loosen up the white crap. I have some ***matching** white AS ceramique on it now lol! works a lot better! :D too bad the heatsink sux so badly it doesnt make that much of a diff lol!
