Aloha,

I just got a Alpha PAL6035 and a Delta 60mm. Which way should I attach the fan? With air blowing ON the heatsink or turning the fan around and blowing air into the case area away from the heatsink?

PS: I just notice the other post earlier on fan direction. I would like a specific answer for my HSF setup though. Thanks.

Thanks,
Greg

I had the same setup and you should have the fan suck air from the heatsink. The little shroud that covers the top half of the pins on the heatsink makes it so the air is drawn from the lower half of the pins. I tried it both ways and it worked better with the fan sucking.

I can confirm TT120's experience, but it is highly dependent on the airflow in your case. So try both directions, an initially bolt it doen with just 2 screws. That way you should be able to easily remove the fan and turn it around, without removal of the heatsink.
