I Would like to know how to connect a 24v 120mm fan to my computer without using a second power supply? I do not want to harm my system. Have a new 800 Duron cpu, msi mother board and 300w power supply. I know i have to use the -12v connection from the powwersupply to the mobo. I guess my question is can i use this connection without doing harm to my system.
Any help is useful

You can probably use it. That is IF your PSU can handle the fan AND the mobo. Make sure the powerrating is high enough otherwise you might blow a fuse or damage your PSU. Try the connection and if you get lockups or crashes afterwards you need a more powerful PSU.
