fan question

Okay. I am getting the thermalright 948-U heatsink. and I wanted to get the DELTA HHE fan, but it seems the fan is out of stock and I am not sure when it will be back. So i was considering two options.

1. Get the high speed panaflo. 56.8CFM and 35.0 dBA

2. Get the DETLA EHE and give it less voltage. 110CFM and 55 dBA. (This thing is as loud as the vantec tornado, and im not fond of vaccuum cleaners)

Any suggestions? I would like to overclock, but I want to be able to sleep at night.

ok, this is my first computer... what do u mean by with rpm and w/out rpm?

Some fans have the ability to report the speed (rpm) of the motor..The ones without rpm sensing capabilty might have 3 wires, but the 3rd wire is usually for a warning indicator..
For fans with RPM sensing capability:
The rpm wire plugs onto the cpu fan header on the mobo..It will then report the fans rpm to the bios and temp prog.'s, if you use them..
My HS's fan is wired to the PSU via a 25 Ohm/ 3 watt ,Radio Shack # 271-265 rheostat to control its speed..The rpm sensing has nothing to do with adjusting the fans speed unless you use software to regulate your fan speeds..Speedfan is one of these prog.'s..Some fan controllers will show you the fans rpms also..

I'd go with the Panaflo because it pushes a lot of air at full speed but should be quiet when undervolted.
