i have designed a circuit that will allow you to monitor the rpm on large fans(think ystech 120mm) it plugs into a fan header on your mobo, it doesnt even touch the fan it uses a reflectator on the center hub of the fan,
is any one interested in knowing more? if so i might wright a howto and submit it on overclockers.com it would be later this week tho
