I'm not sure if this has already been posted but I seem to be able to run Far Cry 3 a ton smoother and faster with just a single 7970 instead of 2 in CrossFire. I just started using CF with 2x 7970 GHz GPU's and my 3DMark11 graphics score went from 9k to 18k so I know that my CF is functioning properly. All of my other games like BF showed significant performance increases but Far Cry 3 gives a huge frame rate drop. With a single GPU and 3 monitor EyeFinity, I am able to run Far Cry 3 with 4-60 FPS on average. With CrossFire enabled, not only am I seeing strong stuttering, but an FPS drop all the way down to 15-20 FPS. This is not right! I am using the latest CAP2 application profile from AMD. Is anyone else experiencing this or have any suggestions? I really want to see both my cards be utilized by Far Cry 3. Any help is appreciated.

far cry is a mystery as far as fps goes it has issues with sli/xfire and it seems that the AA is broken as well,,i have the same issue as you with my xfire hawk 7870's

Just upgraded to Catalyst 12.11 beta with the 12.11 CAP2. Worked like a charm. Running between 70-120 fps now.

was going to suggest a driver update, glad that did the trick :)

With respect OP, you are full of it saying that you went up to 18k in 3dmark 11 after adding another 7970. I have a 3770k at 4.9, 1866 ram, cf 7970s at 1200/1600 and I am not hitting 18k. You said you even got that without 12.11 drivers installed. Considering a stock 3770k bottlenecks cf 7970s overclocked like yours in benchmarks.

Just wondering how do you know that stock 3770k bottlenecks CF 7970s, you have yours overclocked.

All of those results say you can easily get 18k with dual 7970s
