I know its a bit off topic but, I have heard that you should and that you shouldnt have this enabled in the bios, which is the right answer? I have a ati 9700pro a-i-w, but im not sure if that makes a difference. Is there a real good bios guide for gaming out there, I have a soltek 75frn2-L m/b.

Ok from what I understand fast writes = very very very little preformance gain but the flip side is there is a very very small chance it might cause stability problems. I just leave it off and forget about it since if there is a samll chance for stability problems for the price of very little preformance gain.

Well actually, you should leave it enabled. Not only does it actually speed graphics perfromance, it actually writes large texture files in the system memory so that they can load faster giving a slightly high performance graphics wise.

Enable only if you play games with large texture files, this way you can play the game without ever thinking, I hope this doesn't kill my FPS in the game.
