i wont be able to get faster RAM for another month or so.... so im still using my generic pc2100 cl 2.5 crapola.

ive got it to run at 170 on 3-2-2-cl 2.5 timings at 2.7v......much more than I had expected from it.....i may be able to get a bit more out of it w/ some fine tuning but i think 340 is going to be the max.

i also got my old 1600 palomino to 1800mhz w/ this board (170x10.5(abit nf7) and the temps are 35/44 on crap cooling.....go figure... : \

going to unlock it and see how much more i can squeeze out of this baby. (will keep me busy til i get my 1700)

i took a stick of corsair value ram 2100 128mb stick to 207fsb 2.5-3-3-7 at 3vdimm on a a7v333.
it had spectek chips on it. looks like a super man S on the chip its self.

I've got my Crucial and Buffalo Tech runnin at 170mhz @ 2-3-3 timings with 2.8v. (Might do it with less voltage, never tried.) I honestly belive they are held back a bit by my KT333.

"195mhz @ 2.9v - 10-3-3-2.5"

how big of a difference in performance to the RAM timings make? ive only done a few sandra benchmarks and the difference between 7-3-3-cl 2.5 and 3-2-2-cl 2.5 was 2% or less.

still, that's an awesome overclock. 7 isn't *that* bad. Nice job.

Thx.
I had a twinmos pc 3700 512 stick ´that I RMA´d. The compu was set at this speed (210) when I put in the Compaq and forgot to switch back to PC2100 speeds. I was pretty amazed when I realized that. It didnt had that 100% stability at first but after that "Samsungmustburnin" it went fine.:)

guys keep in mind that running ram asynch isnt as hard and harsh on the ram as running synch.
running synch and passing prime is only done in amd land until these new 200fsb chips start showing up from intel land.
good luck guys as you will soon be running backwards asynch on the memory.still works but isnt a true test imo.

Can u please explain that..? Difference in memory mhz with different bus speeds..? I thought it was the memory mhz speed we were comparing..
