My cpu temp is 39C and my Sys temp is 25C how accurate are those temps?

My vcore is 1.78, should I up it a notch? I think I am under powering my chip so it is running a little hotter than it would if I boosted it.

When I turned on my comp the Lcd panel on the mobo posted a code 6B and then 6F, what does that mean?

Thanks.

THe system temp is probably right.

However the cpu temp is measured by a thermosistor under the chip, thus the chip internal temperature is higher. I am not sure by how much, but AMD packageing spec sheets will probably tell the difference measured from the temp measured on the surface of the chip and the real internal temp. A guesstimation would be that the internal temp is around 5-10 C higher. Unfortunately, until we get Athlon 4 and motherboards that support internal thermal diode measurement were not going to gwt accurate cpu temps.

Increasing the voltage is not going to make the chip run cooler! When the MHz goes up temp goes up and when voltage goes up the temp goes up. I don't think chip physics allows any exceptions to this!

Good luck!!!

By the way what FSB have you achived with your Epox?

I haven't o'cd yet with my 1.33. I am still at 10x133. Although I will kick up the fsb soon.

Do you know anything about the Lcd panel on the mobo, it posted a code 6B and then 6F, what does that mean?
