Hey all, I have family in Australia and we are not always online to be able to send each other photos and videos and stuff, so ...

i was wondering if there is some sort of ftp type program that works with dial up connections?

I have had ftp servers b4 but thats when i was on cable and had a static ip.

ICQ offers this type of file sharing but it allows everyone on your list to access the files too :( it dosent allow password proctection for uses you dont want getting the files

any help would be greatly appreciated :)

awesome Extraktor il check that out thanx a million.

Ballin: you dont have to enable the file sharing on icq its just an option so ppl can access pictures and stuff while you are not on the pc, they do also have the file send but then we are such different time frames in teh world its hard to catch each other online at the same time :)

you can try netmetting, yahoo, msn, aim or each of you can set up your own ftp servers or a centralized server and that would be the best option it costs a little bit of money but its worth it in the long run becouse most companys sell servers and there internet connection is that of oc-12 on most cases so that pretty fast. much more bandwidth then your standard cable or dsl connection
