Really amazing how good this game still looks today

"Final Fantasy's latest Dawntrail expansion has arrived - and we have some content on that for you - but the big news is that Square has revamped the visuals to better take advantage of current-gen consoles. Guest reviewer Marc 'Try4ce' Duddleson knows this game inside and out and has been tracking its progress for years, so who better than to tackle Final Fantasy 14's latest chapter?"

Overall I don't see it changing the game's graphical presentation that much. It does look a bit denser in details but overall feel isn't any different. For sure there will be more tweaks possible.

The comment section is as interesting as the video. Personally I run it at 4k max DLSS with a low DRS activation setting so it should never be activated. I have heard reports of some mentioning "softness" but I don't see it myself. I speculate it might be because I'm at 4k, and lower resolutions might be more sensitive to apparent sharpness. A reported workaround is to select FSR at 99% scaling. So basically you render ever so slightly below native but it is enough to kick in FSR sharpening some like. It looks too much to me as it deviates from "native", which DLSS doesn't look different from to me.
