I have finally been able to get ahold of some ram for my Supermicro Super S2DL3 dual xeon II/III board. I am being shipped 2 gigs of pc100 sdram. Last night I was messages but (I'm sorry but I don't recall whom) and we chatted a bit about the effects of speed and cache on these processors. I would just like a little more input and see what the concensus here says.

Now what I don't know is how the different speed and caches should affect performance. I'm told the biggest bottleneck for these processors is the shared bus system and that they cant really access the large ammounts of cache (2mb L2). I should be able to run the board at a divider and also should be able to get ahold of faster ram, although half the quantity. Theoretically, what should end up doing the best OVERALL?

1)2x700mb (100x7) 2MB L2 xeon w/ 4x512mb pc100 ram 1:1
2)2x1ghz (133x7.5) 256kb L2 xeon w/ 4x512mb pc100 ram (fsb@133, ram@100 if the board supports this which it should)
3)2x1ghz (133x7.5) 256k L2 xeon w/ 4x256mb pc133 ram 1:1
