To anyone who's wondering about the above screenshot, the was a typo in the program (fixed and updated now), it reported X2 4200+ as JH9-E4 when it should've been BH9-E4.

The_Coolest has something "cool" planned to test this in a more organized fashion. This is just preliminary stuff. He is going to be gone for a few days though.LoneWolf121188 said:What EXACTLY is this prog measuring? Is it just reading a value encoded in the CPUID or is it actually testing something?
Could you give the link to the info at XS? What exactly is the relationship between this "max case temp" and overclocking headroom? The higher the max temp, the better the overclock?Gnerma said:The_Coolest has something "cool" planned to test this in a more organized fashion. This is just preliminary stuff. EDIT - As I understand it this is a value taken straight out of the CPU. It's interesting because its like AMD saying how robust they think the core is. If you look at the numbers of people with Venices' rated for over 60C here and at XS, there is what seems to be a clear difference in overclocking potential. Fun stuff
That's what TC is trying to find out.gvblake22 said:What exactly is the relationship between this "max case temp" and overclocking headroom? The higher the max temp, the better the overclock?
