To rule out a extension making it wonky.

Run Firefox in Safe Mode. If it then works. Start disabling them (extensions) until you find which one is causing the issues.

Most of the issues of Firefox is an installed extension.

I am unsure exactly the name of the folder inside All Programs. Since it have been ages. I would assume it is listed as Mozilla Firefox | Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode). Let is disable any extensions. I would suggest not selecting run as defualt or whatever option it gives you. Just run it for the one time. Do your thing and se if it corrects it.

See if that gets you fixed up and saving the images. It if does, start the unistall of extensions to find out which one is breaking the 'Save as...'

Could it be some kind of copy protection? Kinda like when your "save image as" is grayed out. Does it do it on all sites? Locally?

I tried different images, and even restarting didn't help, nor Safe Mode. I was downloading a lot of 3d tutorial files when I noticed that I couldn't save any more files.
