First time building comp

I am planning on buying a dragon ultra platinum (kt333) to build a computer that will mainly be used for audio recording. I will probably end up putting a protools system on it.

does this sound like a good mobo for what i want to use it for? Does this have too many bells and whistles for overclocking for me to use as my first build??

Any help would rock.

I'd say go for it. After all maybe later on you'll want to start overclockin.

I would say for the extra $20 or so get the kt400 board. Better bios and it will support the newer 333 t-breds coming out soon. Hopefully

I would get the kt400 board except for two reasons....

1.) I have heard alot of reports of many unfixed bugs in the kt400 chipset.
2.) Protools does not currently support the chipset.

they do have a firewire option as well though... is there an option or soyo card close to the platinum ultra specs that has a firewire port installed??
