Last question I swear!

I've seen a lot about RAM speed, will changing it have a difference or will I need to change it whilst OCing the CPU

You'll want to make sure it is running at stock while you are overclocking your CPU. You may have to change a divider to keep it there. Once you are done OCing you CPU then you can OC you RAM if you want. It will all improve performance.

Ok following the guide currently. Whats happening is that it gets to the windows logo and then it freezes? Whats causing this?

Please download and install CPU-z and the run the program. Attach pics of these three tabs: "CPU", "Memory" and "SPD". Most likely you have exceeded some critical parameter and CPU-z will show us most of your overclock settings.

I have it all ready installed, ill need to push it back to its normal settings in order to boot it.

Will post back shortly

Another question. Put everything back to its usually settings and now it wont show me anything on the screen. Works just fine in safe mode. Any ideas?

And when it does boot, it is followed straight after the welcome page by a blue screen.

Nope, made sure everything is as it should be.

Gonna run the repair tool too see if it finds anything or too otherwise go back to a back up

Turn it off, unplug the power supply from the wall and reset the board with the cmos jumper. Make sure you restore the jumper to default position before you restore power to the board.

Worked a charm. Will need to re arrange my hard drive which it's booting from but that's about it. Also I'll post those CPU z readings tomorrow
