Hey guys I have a bit of a problem. I was putting in a hard drive, when I decided to cut corners and force it in against the video card, at which point I hear a snap. Im thinking sweet it got in, just to look over and see one of the electrical components missing. (#2). All the components on there like that (#1)have the same numbers, including the one that broke off. I think I may be able to solder one on if I can find one. What do you guys think?

Thanks. Kyle

Are you absolutely sure it snapped off? There are solder points with no caps on many video cards... those could just be empty pads. Did you find the one that snapped off? If you did, then you could find another one and very carefully solder it on. You'd have to be extra careful, though.

Positive it snapped off. I saw it hangin there, and the only reason I didnt solder it back on is because the lead completely ripped out of the bottom of the device.
