i have an .NES rom that is for a 20yr old game that was never released in the united states. i want to flash it to a gameboy color cartridge. i have found a flasher to do it yourself at home, but it is like $130 :bang head is there anyone that knows where i can get this service done cheaply or can anyone do it for me?

even if it it could be done i doubt the gameboy would understand the rom without changing the bios of the gameboy as well. But that would be quite interesting to know. Would be kind of cool to convert an old NES collection to a portable system

just a forwarning this is kinda of grey area so it may be locked/removed without notice

I believe there are ways to convert NES roms so that they work on GBA. Not sure about GBC. And I dunno if u can flash them to a normal cartridge, u prolly need a special one.

Yeah if it were a Gameboy Advance it would be an easy fix, but with the Gameboy Color I'm not sure if you can do it.

You cant flash to a standard GBC cart...theyre write once carts. You can only flash to the type of cart you posted the link to, and (at least with GBA flash carts) the cart is the expensive bit. GBA flash link cables usually cost around the £15-£20 mark, and the blank re-writable carts run to around the £40-£50 mark. Best thing to do would be buy a GBA flash cart kit, and flash a NES emulator to it, and run your game that way.

ya i need to find a used GBA at a game shop for cheap. several games for it that i've wanted to play a/w. but that little thing is like $100US! :(
money well spent on hardware, i only payed $20 for my gameboy color :/
