Flashing bios with award flash from CD?

Can someone tell me how to do it? I have this girl's old HP laptop that I'm trying to fix for her, and something went wrong with it, some reason it wont let a OS install and I'm thinking the bios got corrupt, and the laptop doesnt have a floppy drive so I'm forced to use a cd to flash the bios.
