Talk about an odd one. I got a new case, mobo, and TBird 1ghz cpu, (sold my PIII stuff) and had it all running good, except I was getting oddball lines on the screen at random times. I noticed that when they appeared, you could hear a slight change in the pitch of the cooling fans...thought my new power supply was flaky.
But then I noticed something while looking for the problem. I was using the same ram as on my old rig, and I had my I/O voltage at 3.5v.
The KT7 defaults to 3.4v. Hmmm.....so I bumped the voltage in BIOS to 3.5v and problem solved! Easy as that....guess the Creative GTS and my ram needed a bit more voltage to be happy. Just an observation if you are having this problem.
