Hi All,
I just got some round cables from svcompcycle.com and the flopply cables are keyed so the number one pins won't end up on the same side. I have a asus tusl2-c motherboard and sony floppy drive and they are keyed so the cable will install one way only. I am I looking at somthing wrong are there different floppy drive cables? I may be able to cut the key off one end of the cable to install it. Steve

i had the same problem with their floppy cbl. . . luckly my floppy isnt keyed so i just flipped it around and it works fine, so i'd presume you could file off the key to get ursto work. . .

floppy have no standard to were pin one is located....
so if for some stupid reason you have a keyed cable and drive and they are keyed in revers to each other, simply cut off the key. No harm will be done.

But are you sure that the cable is going in the wrong way? If the floppy cable is in backwards, the floppy light will stay on....
If that is the case, just cut off the key

Thanks for the replys. My floppy light did stay on thats what prompted me to check the cables for pin 1 in the right place. I am going to try and cut/grind the key down to install it. Steve
