i'll pass on the contest. i wouldnt know what to do with an amd chip. i just got a second rig so i now have my dual p3 1000EB's (1125mhz 150fsb) and a p2 300mhz with linux on it. I'll add the client to my linux box if i can find a serial port splitter for my modem. i don't know if this cable exists or if it would work. I'm already bothering people in the networking forum so no need to respond here unless you have the cable or two free pci lan cards and a sure fire way to piggyback the second computer though the first and out the dialup

i've done it with windows machines on a dsl but never on linux or with a 56k external. ok i'm done.

yup spring break. i was away for a little over a week. i feel bad whenever i have to shut down the power. the power should never have to go off.

JetMech, speaking of beer I just tried a scottish beer called skullsplitter. mmm mmm good. this one's 8.5% and just a bit darker than newcastle brown.

well if you did have a system with an xp overclocked of course it wouldn't have a problem matching wu's with the two rigs you have now if not doing more wu's. only drawback is they are loud especially when you get a couple in the same room.

I had to shut the P4 down today (like a dummy I had my cdrom and Burner on the same cable) and felt guilty as heck until I got it back up. She's folding again now, bless her slow a**.

I think newegg has netgear card for $13 each. when the sledgehammers finally get here they will have the ability to use up to 8. I would like to see someone shoehorn that in a atx case. It would be cool when you upgrade instead of replacing cpu you just add another.

That would be awesome. They have those systems that can be inserted into an isa slot.

I did a processor upgrade once through the pci slot of my mac. Does that count?
