Just got my KT7A and Duron 600.Still debating on which cooler to get for it.
Have read all the posts for
the last 60 days and still not
sure which way to go. I want to get to 1 gig for sure.
Torn between the FOP-32-1
(don't want the screaming 38 -1) or the "supreme"($10 more)
PEP66. Like the idea of the copper base and lots of fins.
Will the PEP66 be worth the extra hassle and money?
Little concerned all that weight hanging vertically off the board.Should I be? Has anyone tried utilized the holes in the KT7A board to make a mounting system? If I do go with the
PEP66 which way should I order it? With the 10MM fan and keep the shroud in the original position, or modify the shroud and put the bigger(thicker) fan on top.Seems like the fins were designed to have the air blowing across them, from the side, as compared to downward,
if you modify the shroud. Which way will give the best preformance?
Also the question of blowing or sucking in either position.
Please help me make an informed decision with you help.

Thanks, Dennis

Get a FOP32 and you will be happy. You are right to worry about the PEP66's weight. It's way out of AMD's specs. The clip failed on my PEP66 when it was three days old and there went my 800 Bird. The selling dealer, Tom Leufken would not even answer my email. Just be carefull when you install the FOP32.

I'm using the FOP 38. It works great but is a little loud.
The FOP 32-1 is a good choice and is about $18
www.CoolerChips.com mention overclockers.com and you get $1 off on top of that.
