Okay, all the Delta Black label owners out there, is the noise eminating from that sucker any one of these combos??

Loud: Drowns out noise,
Whirring: sounds like a high-pitched engine, competes for noise
Loud: Competes for noise
Whirring Drowns out noise, still high-pitched.

This comp will be about 10 feet away, and i need to be able to sleep with it on, but my "house" (siblings, mother, dog, etc, etc, etc) is quite loud. Will it drown them out and help me sleep, like a wall fan, or wake me up, screamin' like a girl? (the fan, not me, lmFao)

That be the one!

It's easy to use tie wraps to strap a 80mm case fan to the top of FOP's. A 42.5 cfm 80mm Sunon doesn't cool quite as well as the Delta 38. But you, your neighbors, and residents in the next county won't mind the lack of noise.

its very loud, and competes for noise, at least it competes with the tv across the room.

I swapped mine out for a 60mm 28 CFM YS-tech fan and saw no increase in CPU temp. The YS tech is about as noisy as the 2.0W Sunon 80 mm fans.
