Battlefield Vietnam is one game at least that doesn't readily play in the native resolution of some LCD's (like my BenQ FP767 at 1280x1024). Here's a "forced" method for Battlefield Vietnam in case your interested:
Go to the game's settings, something like:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield Vietnam\Mods\BfVietnam\settings
In there you'll find some folders and files.
First, change the "VideoDefault" file to read as follows on the last line: renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 1
Second, in the "Profiles" folder there will be a "VideoCustom" file in each of the profile folders. Change the second line to read: game.setGameDisplayMode 1280 1024 32 60
That'll allow Battlefield Vietnam to run at 1280x1024 32 bits and 60 hz.
If your game doesn't support your native resolution, perhaps it has a similar fix. Good luck.
