forgot psu

OMG,
my xp2200 has arrived more ram, rounded cables lovely but......
for some reason i forgot to order my new psu! so here goes
at the moment my psu is a 235 watt one. it seems to run my 1.33 tbird fine. will it run an xp2200 until i get a new one or should i not put the 2200 in until i can fit a new psu aswell.
god this burns....its sitting next to me now but i darent put it in please somebody help.:mad:
 
It won't damage the CPU. Might as well give it a try, but if it doesn't, don't be surprised.

Go for it. I am using a 2500+ Barton, Audigy 2, 40 Gig WD and 9600 Aiw on a A7n8x-VM Matx board powered with a 200 Watt mini P/S.

works fine, not a burp. Just dont overclock until you get a new P/S;)

If it's a decent PS go for it, just don't overclock yet.

A friend of mine bought a case along with a 350W PS few years ago for $70 CAN I think (or maybe less). The PS blew up when he tried to boot up his new system. Exchanged the PS and it blew up again when he tried to boot up the system. In the end he got an Enermax PS.

The PS was a no name brand so...
 
I am using a 2500+ Barton, Audigy 2, 40 Gig WD and 9600 Aiw on a A7n8x-VM Matx board powered with a 200 Watt

I guess quality matters because when I used the 250W version of the PSU on the right, a 1.3 GHz Duron with no drives and just a low-power video card would always shut down in 30 seconds.
