hello
ive just installed a fortissmo2, and whatever i do i cant get it to record
ive reinstalled drivers times, switched pci slot, changed irq, turned off ACPI, even formatted. im sure its all pluged in correctly and that the mic works. i also get static/crackling when i turn on the '+20db' option in the panel. ive tried recording through the line in input on the card but i doesnt work either, however if i set the record source to stereo mix and play and mp3 or something it records it.

abit kt7a-raid mobo
8gig quantum (ide1 master)
20gig wd (ide1 slave)
sony 12x cd burner (ide2 master)
win2k, service pack 2
via 4in1 drivers
direct x 8.1
